The Project Designer/Drafter, based in Chatswood, NSW, will use Revit and AutoCAD to support the design and delivery of busduct systems for data centre and major infrastructure projects.

Job Description

  • Develop detailed AutoCAD and Revit drawings for busduct systems used in major data centre and infrastructure projects.
  • Produce accurate 2D/3D models, shop drawings, installation layouts, sections and details.
  • Collaborate with engineers, builders, consultants and project managers to ensure design accuracy and constructability.
  • Review and interpret IFC drawings, technical specifications and client requirements.
  • Coordinate designs with client/consultant BIM models (ACC, Navisworks, Revizto).
  • Assist tender and sales teams with preliminary layouts and concept designs.
  • Prepare, manage and update project documentation using Procore, Aconex or ACC.
  • Maintain drawing registers and ensure proper revision control.
  • Support material take‑offs, design updates and clarifications during project delivery.
  • Provide technical support throughout construction and contribute to continuous improvement of drafting and BIM workflows.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Drafter / Project Designer should have:

  • 2-3 years' drafting/BIM experience in electrical or building services projects
  • Strong skills in Revit and working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Ability to read and interpret IFC drawings and technical specs
  • Understanding of LV electrical systems or cable containment (advantage)
  • Experience with BIM coordination tools (Navisworks/Revizto preferred)
  • Good communication and ability to work with engineers and site teams
  • High attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving approach
  • Experience with Procore/Aconex/ACC or data centre projects.
