About Our Client

Our client is an innovative organisation with a solid experience in the Electrical and Power System industry.

Following the constant growth, we are currently looking for an Engineering Lead based in Brisbane.

The role is responsible for overseeing the engineering team (8 ppl) and project delivery. This is a hybrid role, combining aspects of both project management and engineering management, and will require an individual who has extensive experience within the Power Engineering sector (HV).

Job Description

The Engineering Lead will have the following responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 8 engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment while ensuring alignment with company goals and industry standards.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Resource Allocation: Organise and manage engineering team resources efficiently, ensuring optimal allocation across multiple projects to meet deadlines and project milestones.
  • Budgeting and Cost Management: Manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within financial constraints while maintaining quality and performance standards.
  • Project Delivery & Execution: Ensure the successful execution of projects from initiation through to completion, focusing on delivering results within scope, schedule, and budget, while mitigating risks along the way.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and the successful execution of engineering projects.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Engineering Lead meets with the following requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical/Power System Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the Power Engineering sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong knowledge of industry safety and environmental regulations.
  • Proficient in project management and performance metrics.
  • Outstanding communication and team management skills.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
