Our client is a Brisbane-based leader in electrical engineering, delivering turnkey solutions across industrial power generation, mining, and renewable energy. They are an engineering and project delivery firm specialising in high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) power system design, analysis, and commissioning. With a growing team and a strong project pipeline, the company is seeking a senior leader to help drive technical excellence and team performance.

About the Role

The Team Lead is a key technical contributor and coordinator, responsible for effective project delivery through coordinating team workloads, assisting with engineering activities, and providing structured technical review and direction. You will uphold the quality and consistency of project outputs, maintain strong engagement with clients and stakeholders, and ensure projects progress efficiently and professionally. The role also contributes to team capability, fosters collaboration, and reinforces our Clients commitment to high standards in engineering and service.Key Accountabilities

* Plan, coordinate and actively contribute to workloads across engineers, drafters, and support staff

* Deliver project work directly through hands-on engineering tasks, supported by technical review and supervision of others

* Monitor and manage project progress, resourcing, deadlines, and quality assurance requirements

* Provide coaching, guidance, and day-to-day support to help team members grow and develop

* Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, including attending meetings and resolving technical queries

* Contribute to tender submissions, pricing, scopes of work, and broader project planning activities

* Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and team efficiency

* Work towards KPIs relating to project delivery, quality, utilisation, client satisfaction, and continuous improvement

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical)

* 15+ years industry experience with demonstrated project leadership

* 10+ years in protection and power systems design

* CPENG and RPEQ qualification obtained

* Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent engineering projects

* Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills

* Ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team
