About Our Client

The client is a prominent Not-for-profit organisation focused on advancing research and knowledge in the field of eye health. They are dedicated to improving patient outcomes through innovative studies, education, and community engagement initiatives. An Events Manager is responsible for planning and executing a variety of events, coordinating logistics, managing budgets, liaising with speakers and external stakeholders. The events manager also works closely with internal teams to highlight advancements and foster collaboration.

Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and send invites via email and Humanitix.
  • Manage the seating plan, wait list and communications around live streaming.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders for event coordination and post-event operations.
  • Evaluate event success and provide post-event analysis.
  • Coordination and implementation of post event communications including EDMs and final production of event recording.
  • Coordinating with external suppliers including the venue, caterers, photography and volunteers.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate:

  • A degree in Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing and delivering successful events, NFP industry is desirable.
  • Exceptional organisational, problem solving and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in event management software and MS Office.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and relationship building expertise.
  • Ability to manage budgets and negotiate with suppliers and contractors.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude and attention to detail is pivotal to this opportunity.
