Job Description

  • Coordinate month-end and year-end reporting processes, ensuring timely completion of tasks and distribution of reporting timetables and supporting documentation.
  • Perform reconciliations across payroll, inventory, intercompany transactions, allowances, and transport expenses
  • Prepare standard journal entries and generate financial reports including accounts payable & receivable
  • Manage intercompany documentation and postings, and oversee accruals for outstanding service purchase orders and contractor costs.
  • Allocate overheads across operational areas such as workshops, travel, and power stations; review transactions prior to departmental approval.
  • Administer CAPEX projects, including creation, reconciliation of CWIP, and management of asset additions and disposals.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities by preparing financial models, loading historical data, and collaborating with managers on updates and reviews.
  • Assist with operational and project reporting, including metallurgical, geological, and mining reconciliations, and preparation of cost summaries for audits and internal reviews.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Business Partner should have:

  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA or CPA (or working towards).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working within resources sector - mining operator would be highly desirable
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools, including Excel.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements
