Finance SME Planning/Finance Business Partner supporting ASX listed retailer in transitioning to a new finance system (SAP4HANA) by ensuring the planning tool is set up correctly, tested thoroughly, and meets the needs of the business. Working closely with the finance teams and project staff to train users, improve processes, and deliver accurate financial planning capabilities.

About Our Client

Our client is an ASX listed retail organisation who is considered a household name Australia wide. Due to an exciting new project, they are on the look out for someone to join their transformation team on a 9-month fixed-term contract to lead the creation of a planning tool in preparation of a ERP project.

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Transformation, this role will be responsible for:

  • Support the delivery of the new finance planning tool for use across the business, prior to the migration of the new ERP system (SAP).
  • Partner with all departments and acting on a subject matter expert.
  • Work with the finance team and users to ensure the tool is set up correctly and meets business needs.
  • Assist in training end-users on how to use the planning tool.
  • Support testing, including identifying unusual cases and reporting issues.
  • Review and provide feedback on finance process flows.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be/have:

  • Experience in Finance Business Partnering (Planning) and the project space.
  • CA/CPA qualification.
  • Proven project experience (preferably relating to ERP migration).
  • Working for complex or large organisational experience (preferred).
  • Attention to detail.
