Job Description

The Finance Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes in line with accounting standards and internal policies, including review of divisional P&L and balance sheets.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for the Australian entity, coordinating inputs and providing clear financial insights.
  • Support budget holders with financial management of events and projects through ongoing budget reviews, reconciliations and reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Deliver management reporting and analysis (trend, variance and sensitivity), communicating key performance drivers to finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
  • Reconcile event revenue and costs, ensuring timely close‑out and strong focus on cost control and profitability.
  • Prepare ad‑hoc financial analysis, business cases, modelling and commercial insights as required.
  • Implement and maintain financial processes, controls and reporting tools to ensure consistency, accuracy and efficient reporting.
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities, ensuring timely invoicing, effective credit control and efficient processing via shared services.
  • Prepare quarterly cash flow forecasts and monitor business unit cash flow requirements.
  • Provide on‑site finance support during live events, including ticketing, concessions and banking assistance.
  • Support audit, statutory reporting, payroll review, local tax compliance and broader financial governance activities.

The Successful Applicant

Experience and knowledge across

  • (CA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • experience across Financial Control essential
  • Strong technical accounting experince and knowledge
  • 3-4 years post qualified experience in a similar role
  • Industry experience
  • Foundational experience in the big-4 or mid-tier highly regarded
