About Our Client
The client is a leading council based in the northern region of Victoria.
Job Description
Management responsibilities-
- leading a high performing team
- implementing ongoing process improvement across the reporting function
- execution of the organisations strategy and vision
Finance responsibilities-
- accurate and timely management of the month-end close, analysis and reporting process
- annual budget and monthly forecasting process
- completion of annual financial statements and coordination of annual audit processes
- provision of partnering support to the business, including information on project spend and financial support and advice
- process improvements and streamlining of existing systems
- provision of financial and commercial insight into Council's key financial deliverables.
The Successful Applicant
- CPA/CA qualified (or equivalent) is required
- Local council or not-for-profit industry experience would be beneficial but not a must have
- Previous team management leading a small finance function
- Demonstrated previous experience working in a hands on finance role
- Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders on projects and non-finance matters
What's on Offer
The client is paying roughly $115,000- $120,000 plus super depending on the experience of the candidate
