They are now seeking to strengthen their finance function with the hire of a Finance Lead to be based in the Melbourne office.Job DescriptionOur client's group finance function is currently investing in an exciting transformation program to assist the business in its next phase of growth. The initial focus will be to support this major project with process standardisation, automation and improvement. The role will then continue as a leader within the group finance function to oversee the following responsibilities while reporting to the Senior Finance Manager.Lead all accounting processes to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow etc.)Support month-end closing activities and consolidation processFinancial reporting, including assisting with the Audit process.Support the production of reports and other data to the FP&A team to enable the measurement and reporting of a variety of performance metricsCoordinate and assist in the preparation and review of journal entriesFacilitate the review and analysis of management fees and intercompany transactionsLead weekly preparation of stakeholder cash flow forecastsThe Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate will have a commercial background working in either a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role, whilst having leadership experience in managing both qualified and transactional finance staff. You will be a strong communicator with excellent relationship building skills.
