Supporting a key entity, you will deliver timely and accurate financial accounting, reporting, and analysis. It is a hands‑on position with strong exposure to month-end, audits, and operational stakeholders, contributing to performance improvement and sound financial control.

About Our Client

Our client is an industrial services group with a strong focus on operational performance, safety, and accountability. The finance function partners closely with the business, combining technical accounting rigour with practical commercial support to operations and shared services.

Job Description

  • Support the end‑to‑end financial accounting cycle for entities in line with IFRS and group policies
  • Prepare and post month‑end journals including accruals, provisions, prepayments, leases, and fixed assets
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, intercompany balances, novated leases, and workers compensation refunds
  • Manage the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation (accounting and tax)
  • Deliver regular and ad‑hoc management reporting, systems analysis, and financial insights to stakeholders
  • Prepare and lodge BAS statements and support indirect tax compliance
  • Partner with Shared Services and Operations to meet month‑end deadlines and support external audits
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and process or system improvement initiatives

The Successful Applicant

  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CA/CPA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in a commercial environment
  • Experience with SAP is extremely highly regarded
  • Experience in delivering throughout the monthly, half-yearly and year-end accounting cycles
  • A strong work ethic and proactive attitude
  • Availability immediately or at very short notice
