We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join a Not For Profit organisation based in South Brisbane. This temporary role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the organisation's Accounting & Finance department while advancing your professional skills.

Job Description

  • Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy across all financial records.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities for the organisation.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with financial policies and regulations.
  • Support the month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on financial matters.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to aid in decision-making.
  • Assist with audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in financial software and accounting systems.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Experience in the Not For Profit sector is advantageous but not essential.
