Job Description

You will be an integral member of the GL & Reporting team in the Finance and Strategy through the following:

  • Produce timely and accurate Finance information for analysis and business decisions.
  • Assist the Finance Manager during the month end close, corporate and property recharges and other related information as well as input into year end schedules and analysis for the external auditors.
  • Assist the Finance Manager with various financial excellence projects such as:
  • Automation of financial statements and other manual process
  • Segment reporting including alignment with Prudential Compliance
  • Revamping procedural documentation for the division
  • Developing stakeholder relationships within the Finance and Strategy and business, matching expectations with the GL Reporting team performance.
  • Driving continuous improvement of processes, governance and efficiencies to allow the expansion of scope of services that can be performed centrally at higher service levels and lower cost.
  • Providing a collection of relevant data to assist with budgeting and forecasting, the operation of the team and production of regular reports.
  • Conducting specialised studies as required, providing insights into the operation of the team and the organisation.
  • Actively participate as a key team member to deliver service excellence.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar Finance role
  • Strong knowledge of corporate financial functions and property operations is highly desirable
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems as used in large scale service environments
  • Previous experience in systems automation and procedural documentation highly regarded
  • Ideally suited for a 1st or 2nd mover
  • Experience in automation of manual processes
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and maintenance of procedural documentation
  • Strong understanding of Segment reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, be organized, systematic, thorough, accurate and disciplined
