About Our Client
Our client is a well established and privately owned import and distribution business. They have a great family culture and long-standing employees who have worked hard to grow the business over the past 30 years.
The Financial Controller role is a hands-on and part time role - 25 hours per week.
Reporting to the local Managing Director, and a member of the local management team, the primary responsibility of the Financial Controller is managing the finance function and providing accurate financial reporting. They will also add value to the business through business partnering with senior stakeholders and providing insightful management reports.
The Financial Controller will play a lead role in the provision of insightful financial analysis that supports decision making, and is comfortable having regular board meetings where they will present financial results to Senior Executives. This role requires an experienced operator who can manage internal and external stakeholders, work with a diverse range of people, and is possibly, someone who aspires to develop their career.
Your responsibilities will occasionally cover some HR and IT duties.
The Successful Applicant
Our client are looking for an experienced Financial Controller. You must be CA/CPA Qualified and have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business, and possess strong technical accounting and reporting skills.
You will be a strong communicator and have experience leading small teams, and be comfortable sitting on the local leadership team. You will ideally be a person to challenge ideas and be able to influence others, as well as previous experience in managing and motivating a team. Management accounting experience in an inventory based organisation is essential, with exposure to Forex transactions, supply chain issues. Experience with Cognos is desired.
