Reporting to the CFO and managing a team of 12, your primary objective is to lead and develop the FP&A function, and help drive continuous improvement across the organisation, through the provision of high-level financial information.
Your technical responsibilities will include the budgeting and forecasting processes for the various corporate and operational divisions, as well as the monthly reporting and analysis on performance in all key areas. As a business partner, you will need to familiarise yourself with the drivers of each business unit and help manage the performance through the establishment of reporting dashboards and consultative analysis with operations managers.
As the leader of the FP&A team, you're are expected to establish and communicate clear strategic goals and develop the capability of the individuals in the team. Your role will require a broad skill-set around financial modelling, business partnering, coaching and mentoring as well as preparing and delivering presentations to C-Suite executives. Your ability to articulate and influence senior stakeholders will determine your success in this role.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will be CA/CPA qualified, with a strong commercial background in the strategic or commercial arm of a finance function. Strong reporting and analysis skills and commercial acumen are required, as is a demonstrated ability to lead and develop a finance team. This role is a member of the Organisational and Finance Leadership team, so excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders are essential. In addition, the successful candidate will display the potential to be a strong leader with presence who could be a successor to the CFO in the future. Extensive experience with Power BI is highly desirable.
