Backed by a large, established parent company, it combines the agility and autonomy of a standalone business with the stability and support of a broader corporate group.Headquartered in Western Australia, the organisation is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation and is seeking a General Manager, People and Safety to lead the people strategy and support this next stage of its journey.Job DescriptionThe General Manager People and Safety is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, partnering closely with the CEO to shape and deliver the organisation's next phase of growth.This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution, with responsibility for developing and embedding a contemporary people strategy that supports organisational performance. You will play a central role in strengthening leadership capability, aligning structure and accountability, and building a high-performing, customer-focused culture.Key areas of focus include:Drive the strategic direction of the People and Safety function, aligning with organisational objectives.Partner closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to influence and implement HR strategies.Lead organisational transformation initiatives to enhance workplace culture and performance.Oversee workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, fostering a culture of safety across all levels of the organisation.Develop and implement policies and programs to drive employee engagement and retention.Provide leadership and guidance to the People and Safety team, ensuring their professional growth.Monitor and report on key HR and Safety metrics to support decision-making processes.The Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate will be a commercially astute senior HR leader with experience in a complex or operational environment.
