An opportunity to join an established team within a dynamic investment house located in the heart of the Melbourne CBD. Our client has various investments and assets within property and real estate across Australia. As a Group Accountant, you will act as a trusted partner, and be heavily involved with strategic decision making and ensuring growth for the business.

Job Description

As a Group Accountant, you will report to the Finance Manager and oversee the day-to-day running of the investment house's finance functions. You will be responsible for the following, but limited to:

  • End to end accounting and financial reporting support for a large, diverse investment portfolio.
  • Modelling, forecasting, scenario and cashflow planning.
  • Maintaining investment and tax registers and documentation.
  • Assisting the team with reporting, research and analysis as required.
  • Overseeing tax planning and completing BAS.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be CA/CPA qualified and have worked for a minimum of 5+ years' in similar end to end accounting role. It would be highly beneficial, if the successful candidate has previously worked an investment or asset management organisation.

  • Must be CA/CPA qualified
  • Excellent working knowledge of Australian accounting standards and taxation.
  • Demonstrated experience working with senior stakeholders and providing strategic advice.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and delivering key financials.
