Head of Finance

Reporting into the General Manager for Australia, this is a "hands on" Head of Finance position managing a small finance team. You will be responsible for directing, co-ordinating and planning of all financial accounting & controls, budgeting, and analysis, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and practices, in accordance with US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).Other key responsibilities will include the following:

• Working closely with the General Manager and the senior leadership team, you will act as a key business partner to the business helping to drive strategic business improvement & performance initiatives.
• Work with the senior leadership team in helping to develop and implement both organic and inorganic growth initiatives across the region.
• You will actively manage and assume responsibility for the effective preparation, maintenance, and reporting of internal and external financial records.
• Manage the preparation of daily, monthly, annual, and other periodic financial statements and reports, ensuring that external document submissions and filings are accurate and timely.
• Manage and lead the development of the budgeting, general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, fixed asset management and oversees IT function
