Job Description

  • Partner with senior leadership in the organisational design and structure for the future of the Australian business
  • Implement the newly created compensation structure and ensure alignment across all sites
  • Support the Leadership Development initiatives created in the US, ensuring a comparable plan is available in Australia that meets the growing needs of the business
  • Play an instrumental role in talent upskilling, helping leaders understand competency gaps
  • Manage, support, and augment a team that will manage employee relations matters throughout the organization
  • Identify opportunities for employee engagement and work alongside the VP of HR on employee value and initiatives
  • Play a key role in understanding how HR can support talent acquisition and partner with US team to implement appropriate local programs
  • Implementation of policies and compliance requirements
  • Management of EBA relationships up to and including bargaining

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree qualified in Human Resources, Organization Development, Industrial Relations, or related field
  • Experience in large equipment, manufacturing and/or logistics environment
  • Proven track record of managing the overall HR function - minimum 8 years
  • Extensive experience providing strategic and operational leadership ideally within a medium sized or large multi-faceted, multi-site advanced industrial environment
  • Proven success coaching, influencing, and building capability with senior management
  • Previous experience implementing and managing complex compensation programs including sales commissions, production bonuses and executive constructs
  • Previous experience guiding and leading multiple business units through transformation & change will be an advantage
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of AU IR & legislation, awards, policies, and practices
  • An ability to develop rapport with staff at all levels
  • Demonstrated record of innovative and dynamic work practices
