The HR Advisor will be a key contributor to the success of the Human Resources function, providing proactive and reliable support across the full spectrum of HR and IR activities. Based in Glendenning, this role requires an experienced HR professional with strong practical knowledge of contemporary HR practices and a commitment to fostering a high‑performing culture.

Job Description

What you'll be doing

  • Advising managers and stakeholders on employment legislation, Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and company policies.
  • Coordinating HR activities across the business and guiding managers on required processes and best practices.
  • Providing accurate, timely advice on a wide range of HR and IR matters with varying levels of complexity.
  • Ensuring compliance with industrial instruments, including pay accuracy, minimum entitlements, and regular reviews.
  • Supporting leaders with employee grievance management, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Managing disciplinary and performance-related processes end‑to‑end, including documentation and recommendations.
  • Preparing HR documentation and correspondence as required.
  • Responding to internal and external HR queries and requests.



Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Managing full end‑to‑end recruitment - screening, interviews, references, medicals, contracts, and onboarding across multiple business units.
  • Delivering engaging orientations and onboarding experiences.
  • Maintaining HR systems, employee records, and data integrity.
  • Reporting on recruitment metrics such as demographics, experience, and workforce trends.
  • Designing and managing recruitment campaigns, including apprenticeship and traineeship programs.
  • Building strong relationships with group training organisations, apprenticeship networks, universities, and vocational institutions.
  • Leading the development and oversight of apprenticeship/traineeship programs to support employee growth.



General HR Operations & Projects

  • Supporting and delivering a range of HR projects, policy reviews, and strategic initiatives.
  • Overseeing offboarding processes, including exit interviews and follow‑up actions.
  • Providing mentoring and support to junior HR team members.
  • Assisting with claim management and working with external specialists to coordinate Return‑to‑Work Plans and maintain injury management records.
  • Coordinating HR administration, events, and general support for management.

The Successful Applicant

About You: You'll thrive in this role if you're a confident communicator, a natural problem‑solver, and someone who enjoys working across both operational and strategic HR. You bring strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and care.

What a Successful HR Advisor Brings:

  • 5+ years of HR experience, with strong capability in industrial relations, including performance management, disciplinary processes, EA/award interpretation, recruitment, and project work. You will also play an active role in the implementation of a new enterprise management system.
  • Experience working in blue‑collar industries such as manufacturing, transport, or construction.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel across NSW, VIC, and QLD.
