Job Description

  • Be a major contributor and driver of organisational Industrial/employee relations processes
  • Provide expert advice on a wide range of matters relating to the management of the employment relationship, including and legislative and industrial agreement issues
  • Influence and drive a culture of confidence, responsiveness and confidentiality around employee relations activities and processes
  • Partner with organisational leaders to educate, coach and lead the through industrial processes
  • Represent the organisation in various meetings, conciliations, tribunals, commissions, sector groups and negotiations
  • Ensure organisational employee relations processes are clear, informative, and meet the legislative requirements and our industrial instrument obligations
  • Be a major contributor and driver in the development and implementation of employee relations and industrial employment policies and procedures, ensuring compliance wit legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Provide regular analysis and data for executive and board on employee relations legislative and activities including compliant management and resolution activities
  • Maintain appropriate documentation, while ensuring that all relevant employee information is maintained in the HRIS
  • Manage 2 direct reports: People and Culture Coordinators & Employee Relations Administrator Officer

The Successful Applicant

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations or Employment Law
  • Minimum 3 years demonstrated team leadership experience
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and provide advice to organisational leaders
  • Current knowledge of contemporary employment law and practice
  • The ability to travel to provide support as required
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (must be maintained)
  • A current national Police Check (must be maintained)
  • A current unrestricted driver's licence (must be maintained)
  • A current Covid 19 vaccination record
  • Contemporary knowledge and experience in talent acquisition and onboarding processes
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and delivering of recruitment training
  • Demonstrated experience in the design, evaluation of implementation of employee/industrial relations processes
