Job Description

Strategic Communications * Develop and implement a clear, engaging internal communications strategy that supports strategic priorities and franchisee success. * Translate business goals and leadership messages into communications that are relevant and actionable for franchisees. * Provide communications advice and support to the CEO and SLT to enhance leadership visibility, engagement, and alignment across the networkCEO & Leadership Communications * Partner with the CEO to strengthen internal visibility and thought leadership through wellcrafted updates, messages, and video or written content. * Support SLT members to communicate key initiatives effectively, ensuring messages resonate across different countries and franchise contexts. * Prepare internal speeches, newsletters, and briefing materials to ensure consistent, timely, and high-impact communicationsFranchise Network Engagement * Build strong, trusted relationships with franchisees to understand their needs and improve the clarity and accessibility of communications. * Develop tools, templates, and frameworks that help streamline communication between head office and the network. * Gather feedback to measure communication effectiveness and continuously improve engagement. Digital Channel Leadership * Lead the redevelopment and ongoing management of internal digital intranet and communication platforms. * Improve content design, usability, and engagement metrics to ensure our franchisees can easily access what they need. * Manage an editorial calendar, curate network-wide stories, and drive two-way engagement through digital tools.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Internal Communications Specialist should have:

  • 5+ years' experience in internal communications, corporate affairs, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills - able to adapt tone and style for executives, educators, and franchise owners.
  • Proven ability to manage or improve internal communication channels, including intranets or digital collaboration tools.
  • Experience working in a distributed, multi-site, or franchise environment.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with the confidence to advise senior leaders.
  • A hands-on approach - equally comfortable developing strategy and delivering day-to-day content
  • Experience in the education, retail, or franchise sector. * Familiarity with platforms such as SharePoint, Viva Engage (Yammer), or similar intranet tools. * Understanding of change communication and stakeholder engagement principles.
