Job Description

  • Driving sales growth through product range analysis and opportunity identification
  • Management of products and the overall category, from source to shelf
  • Ongoing contact with manufacturers and retailers to manage pricing and profitability
  • Formulate, create and manage retail trade-marketing activities and brand marketing activities
  • Direct sales activities as the product experts to sell to product buyers

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualifications in a Business degree or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Must have experience in selling an FMCG product, ideally into grocery.
  • Background selling products to blue-chip national retailers (head offices), from a wholesaler/distributor perspective
  • Must have extremely strong financial/analytical acumen with an excellent understanding of P&L - retailer and client
  • Time management and prioritisation skills to ensure requirements are delivered on time to customer requirements
  • Ability to own product database for category, ensuring complete and accurate data is available
  • Proven experience in providing input and market feedback to deliver understanding of channels, competitors, and products
  • The ability to communicate confidently at all levels
