Job Description
Roles and responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to Indigenous students
- Assist with designing, developing and delivering cultural art courses and other cultural activities
- Liaise with employees and stakeholders including students and community groups
- Engage and encourage Indigenous community participation in education
- Attend local Aboriginal community meetings and engage with stakeholders
The Successful Applicant
Successful applicant will exhibit:
- Knowledge and understanding of the Koori culture
- Ability to implement processes for student development and to track process
- Pragmatic approach to dealing with problems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to receive and deliver communications
- Generate new ideas and innovative processes to improve practices
