Job Description

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Provide support and assistance to Indigenous students
  • Assist with designing, developing and delivering cultural art courses and other cultural activities
  • Liaise with employees and stakeholders including students and community groups
  • Engage and encourage Indigenous community participation in education
  • Attend local Aboriginal community meetings and engage with stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

Successful applicant will exhibit:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Koori culture
  • Ability to implement processes for student development and to track process
  • Pragmatic approach to dealing with problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to receive and deliver communications
  • Generate new ideas and innovative processes to improve practices
