Job Description

  • Lead and manage both the product and project aspects for Mechanical engineering from a structural analysis perspective within the energy and natural resources sector.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions.
  • Oversee the design, analysis, and evaluation of mechanical structures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and methodologies.
  • Support project delivery within the industrial and manufacturing industry.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Lead Mechanical Engineer should have:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong expertise in structural analysis for unusual structures exposed to elements.
  • Strong knowledge of AS1170.
  • Experience with wind tunnel testing would be beneficial.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
  • Ability to manage projects and lead teams effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
