Job Description

What you will do:

  • Manage the new lease process including working with the solicitors to prepare and/or coordinate leasing documents, negotiating terms with tenants within set parameters, providing final leasing documents the solicitors and ensuring that all leases are registered with the Land Titles Office in a timely manner
  • Proactively manage lease renewals, including tracking expiring leases and engaging with tenants early
  • Proactively follow up and manage tenants, agents and lawyers regarding documentation and general queries
  • Meticulously maintain complete and accurate leasing documents and information in line with the their protocols, systems and templates
  • Liaise with financiers to get consent for properties that have a mortgage prior to registering a lease
  • Coordinate prospective and existing tenant meetings and attend meetings where required
  • Coordinate pre and post occupancy checks and make good
  • Attend regular meetings with clients

The Successful Applicant

You are:

  • Experienced in preparing/coordinating leasing documents, negotiating terms with tenants within set parameters and have a solid knowledge of legal terminology
  • Strong in your knowledge of leasing processes in the ACT
  • Able to manage multiple tasks at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Highly organised, methodical and meticulous in your approach to information management, with exceptional attention to detail and an ability to confidently work across multiple projects
  • Reliable, trustworthy and calm in the face of complexity
  • Exceptional in your oral and written communication skills
  • Able to develop and maintain strong collaborative working relationships
  • Open to change and embrace technology

You have:

  • Degree qualifications in property, law, business or a relevant field.
  • 2+ years of experience with demonstrative leadership skills in lease contract negotiations

You may also have:

  • Experience using Re-leased
  • Experience in VIC leasing processes.
