About Our Client

Our client is a global technology business undergoing rapid expansion, driven by significant M&A activity and continued investment across multiple regions. With the role reporting directly to the Head of Legal in the UK, you'll enjoy outstanding WFH flexibility along with the opportunity to contribute to strategic international initiatives.

Job Description

As Legal Counsel, you'll work closely with senior stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand, providing commercially focused legal support across a wide mix of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.

The position offers exceptional development opportunities, exposure across multiple jurisdictions, and hands‑on involvement in ongoing integration and growth activity.

This role also comes with a genuine market‑leading remuneration package, tailored to recognise experience and capability.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements (customer, supplier, and service contracts).
  • Deliver practical legal advice aligned with commercial and operational needs.
  • Support governance frameworks and help balance legal risk with business objectives.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise the business on implications.
  • Assist with corporate governance, corporate structuring, and legal operations.
  • Contribute to M&A processes-including due diligence, transaction support, and integration.
  • Provide guidance on intellectual property rights and contractual protections.
  • Support compliance frameworks, policies, and internal risk initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with external counsel where required.
  • Collaborate with the Group Legal team in the UK on international strategic projects.

The Successful Applicant

  • 2-3+ years PQE in corporate or commercial law.
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Practical commercial judgement with the ability to advise senior stakeholders confidently.
  • Exposure to data protection, technology contracting, or M&A is advantageous but not a prerequisite.
  • Solid understanding of IP concepts and contractual protections.
  • Highly organised with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, high‑growth environment.

What's on Offer

  • Market‑leading remuneration package based on experience.
  • Unmatched flexibility - work from home regularly, with leadership based in the UK.
  • Join a global business at an exciting stage of growth and M&A expansion.
  • Direct exposure to senior decision‑makers across multiple countries.
  • Opportunity to shape processes, influence strategy, and grow with the legal function.
  • A genuinely fun, modern, and collaborative culture where legal is seen as a partner, not a blocker.
  • Broad role with variety across commercial, corporate, regulatory, IP, and M&A.
