Job Description

  • Prepare monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis, ensuring accurate reporting of financial performance.
  • Own inventory accounting, including stock valuation, reconciliations, provisions, and investigation of variances.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, tracking performance and highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with retail and operational teams to provide clear financial insight and support decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, reports, and dashboards using advanced Excel and Power BI.
  • Support process improvements, controls, and system enhancements within a fast-paced retail environment.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant, with strong inventory accounting experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence using data to produce clear, actionable insight (Power BI desirable).
  • Experience in a retail or consumer-facing environment, or a strong understanding of high-volume stock operations.
  • Commercially minded, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.
  • Clear communicator who can partner effectively with non-finance stakeholders.
