We are seeking a Management Accountant who is responsible for delivering month‑end reporting, financial analysis, and forecasting support within a high‑activity mining and resources finance team. You'll collaborate closely with operational and commercial stakeholders to ensure accurate financial results and provide clear, actionable insights.

Job Description

  • Support the month‑end process by preparing journals including accruals, prepayments, reclassifications and adjustments
  • Liaise with operational and commercial stakeholders before and during month‑end to gather required financial inputs
  • Analyse actuals vs budget/forecast and provide clear commentary on key movements and variances
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting by collecting inputs from site teams, project leads, and cost centre managers
  • Consolidate financial data into structured forecast and budget templates
  • Manage and analyse large datasets, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across systems and reports
  • Use Power BI (or similar tools) to analyse trends, cost behaviour, production metrics, and operational KPIs
  • Build strong working relationships across operations, maintenance, supply chain, HR, and commercial departments
  • Communicate insights in a clear, business‑focused manner to support decision‑making across the organisation

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • CPA or CA qualified, with strong technical accounting capability
  • Experienced in management accounting, financial analysis or commercial finance
  • Proficient in Power BI and confident working with large datasets
  • Strong communicator, able to partner effectively with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and explaining financial variances clearly
  • SAP experience is desirable
  • Prior exposure to the mining or heavy‑industry sector is advantageous
