Job Description

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for presentation to General Manager and MD
  • Preparation of monthly reconciliations of all inter-company balances in line with company procedures
  • Work closely with the financial controller to prepare annual budgets and forecasts where necessary
  • Prepare year end financial statements together with supporting schedules and liaise with external auditors as required
  • Calculate and prepare all statutory accounts and tax payments to ensure compliance with ATO requirements
  • Ensure appropriate cash receipting procedures are at all times compliant with company policy
  • Supervise the credit control and accounts payable function and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Regularly monitor warranty claims and other receivables from the franchiser
  • Supervise all company stock-takes and ensure adequate stock control
  • Ensure the retention and adequate storage of files as required by law

The Successful Applicant

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail in financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively.
  • Experience in the Transport, Logistics or Manufacturing industry highly regarded.
  • Ability to assess current practices, streamline processes, and develop innovative improvement strategies while ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
  • Provides guidance to others, sets clear objectives, monitors team performance, and develops systems to support customer relationships aligned with company strategy.
