Join a leading team in the energy & natural resources industry as a Mechanical Reliability Engineer. This temporary FIFO role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to engineering and manufacturing projects in Groote Eylandt. Initial 6 month contract with view to extend, or go permanent.

Job Description

  • Conduct reliability analysis to enhance Heavy Mobile Equipment performance and minimise downtime.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve reliability issues.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements based on data analysis.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all engineering processes.
  • Support the planning and execution of preventative maintenance programs.
  • Provide technical expertise and training to team members as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Reliability Engineer should have:

  • Relevant qualifications in engineering (bachelor, RPEQ), ideally within mechanical or electrical disciplines.
  • Proven skills in conducting reliability and performance analysis.
  • Experience in a heavy industry or similar field.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance strategies and asset management principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements in engineering projects.
  • Ability to work in a FIFO capacity and adapt to a 7/7 roster.

What's on Offer

  • Hourly rate between AUD 80 and AUD 100, depending on experience.
  • FIFO role on a convenient 7/7 roster. 12 hour days. Ideally flying out of Northern Queensland or Darwin.
