Job Description

  • Prepare and manage financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee financial compliance with Australian accounting standards and regulations.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and revenue growth.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes effectively.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and processes to ensure data accuracy.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business objectives within the leisure, travel, and tourism sector.
  • Mentor and support junior team members in the accounting and finance department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful National Accountant should have:

  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CA qualification (or working towards one).
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and taxation laws.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
