National Sales Manager - Underground Mining

About Our Client
A global leader in their field, my client pride themselves on driving a high performance culture with a customer first approach. They are a manufacturer of products integral to the mining industry with a focus on underground.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, this role will be responsible for the following (not limited):
- Effective leadership of all indirect and direct reports - ensuring high levels of employee engagement.
- Full retention of existing customer base and the development of an acquisition strategy.
- Achieving sales targets through effective leadership - driving accountability and best practice across the business.
- Full accountability and responsibility for the tender process. Drawing in and facilitating all internal resources required to successfully execute tender submissions.
- Development of clear and methodical business plan to support and underpin the overall business strategy.
- Ongoing development of a high performance culture.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading a national business unit with a core focus on people leadership. Underground Mining experience is critical given the nature of the industry being able to relate to consumers at all levels and understanding how best to value add to the customer needs. Having a strong technical background, whether engineering or trade is vital to be able to relate to the wider team and customers.
This individual will have adaptable communication skills with high emotional intelligence. Their leadership style will revolve around coaching techniques to ensure high levels of engagement and to ensure delivery of outcomes. Prior experience in change management to adapt to evolving environments will be highly advantageous.
