Job Description

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow market share and profitability for a key product category in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with major clients, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Lead a sales team of 3, setting clear goals and providing support to achieve outstanding performance.
  • Manage product pricing, inventory, and financial targets, with full accountability for the Profit and Loss (P&L) of the category.
  • Manage risks related to stock, purchasing, and sales, ensuring alignment with daily commodity price movements and market trends.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity, and customer demands to inform strategic decisions.
  • Provide regular updates on performance, P&L, and key metrics to senior leadership.

The Successful Applicant

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of sales management experience in the food ingredients/agribuisness/chemical industry, ideally with exposure to commodity or niche product categories.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills with experience guiding high-performing teams.
  • A strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strategic thinking paired with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
  • A customer-focused attitude, with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationally as required.



Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is essential.
