Job Description

  • Lead development and expansion of technical capabilities beyond current manufacturing processes.
  • Produce early-stage prototypes and collaborate with sales to provide accurate pricing for new business opportunities..
  • Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, including planning, cross-functional communication, and qualification documentation (PFD, PFMEA, Control Plans).
  • Design and validate custom tooling and manage capital equipment projects (budgeting, IQ/OQ/PQ).
  • Collaborate with sales and customers to resolve technical issues and provide accurate cost estimates for new opportunities.
  • Apply LEAN principles and drive Kaizen initiatives for process improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and Quality Management System requirements.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • 6-8 years' experience in medical device manufacturing or precious metal processing (gold, silver, platinum).
  • Knowledge of advanced processes such as micromachining, brazing, electropolishing, and laser technologies.
  • Strong technical comprehension and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with Lean, JIT, ERP systems (desirable).
