About Our Client
Ameropa is a privately-held, Swiss family-owned international agribusiness. They produce, originate and market fertilisers and grains, as part of the supply chain tasked with feeding the world. They have regional offices on all five continents and invest globally in assets supporting their business activities.
Impact Fertilisers is the wholesale side of the business, selling its products and services through an extensive dealer network in Eastern Australia. There are nine Impact Fertilisers distribution plants on the mainland, the largest of which is the Corio facility in Geelong.
The overall purpose of this newly created role is to position Impact Fertilisers as a service orientated value-adding supplier who delivers on our company purpose of 'Fertiliser Made Easy'.
This position will be the principal operational lead and focal point for the Geelong site. You will ensure the safe, efficient and compliant operation, including people, ESH, warehousing & stock management, shipping & transportation processes, capital & operational expense budgets / execution.
Overseeing a team of 10 reports, you will drive accountability, collaboration and decision making across the group. You will manage the overall site operations to maximise customer service and ensure capital and operational targets are achieved whilst complying with environmental and health and safety regulations. You will be a results oriented self-starter with personal drive to make things happen. You are prepared to challenge the status quo. You will be a team player that demonstrates ability to lead by example, however, knows how to have fun on the job.

The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have a hands-on management approach, and demonstrating natural and authentic people leadership skills is essential. Above all, you will be a role model for our core values of Accountability, Care and Teamwork.
You will be:
- Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline. Preferably Engineering, Business or Agribusiness.
- Able to demonstrate a strong track record of leadership within Operations, Logistics or a Manufacturing environment.
- A results orientated driven individual, with a flair for building strong interpersonal relationships and the ability to forge teamwork and collaboration.
Your experience will be embedded within Operations, Distribution and Warehousing and ideally you should have had exposure to bulk handling within a shipping environment. This role will very much suit an ambitious individual with the longer term potential to progress their career within the wider business and the flexibility to consider alternative locations.
