BaptistCare are seeking an experienced Operations Manager or Residential Manager to manage their state of the art ACT centre. The 160 bed Griffith Centre is Canberra's newest residential aged care centre. Conveniently located near the CBD, Lake Burley Griffin, shopping precincts and local parks this energy efficient and environmentally sustainable building has been designed to ensure BaptistCare can meet the care needs of the local community now and in to the future. BaptistCare Griffith is an innovative and modern looking facility, built to cater for people with low care, high care and dementia care needs. The facility also offers extra services; a premium range of lifestyle choices that clients might expect to find in a hotel. Some of these extra services include an increased range of meal choices, superior accommodation and other premium personal services.
As Operations / Residential Manager - Residential Services, you will have total overall responsibility for the strategic planning, financial management, service growth and day to day operations of the Griffith Centre, Canberra, ACT. With passion and respect, you will drive and manage an experienced nursing team totalling 160 people, with a budget in excess of $12 million. Delivering high quality and innovative Aged Care Services for clients and colleagues, you will take pride in being recognised as setting industry standards.
- Full and total strategic, business, financial, marketing and people management of the Griffith Centre
- The identification and development of new on-site allied health service opportunities and ventures
- Effective work force management planning, coaching, training and development
- Governance and legislative management and accreditation
- Monitoring, assessment and contractual management of third party service providers
The Successful Applicant
You will be a highly motivated and driven individual with business, commercial and people management experience gained within a Residential Aged Care Facility or similar Allied Health environment. You will be degree qualified in Nursing or Allied Health. You will hold or be working towards a Health Management qualification or equivalent. You will have demonstrable experience in driving change, budget and KPI management, leading a diverse workforce and third party contract management. Additionally you will have knowledge of the Commonwealth Aged Care Act 1997, Aged Care funding model and Accreditation Standards.
Very importantly, you will be actively involved in a Christian Church, will be able to work within and promote the BaptistCare Purpose and Values Statement, including leading devotions and prayers and speaking on behalf of BaptistCare at external gatherings and services
