Job Description

  • Oversee the entire compost production process to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Ensuring daily, weekly and monthly compost production plans and cleaning schedules are met.
  • Operation of machinery in as per safe work practices.
  • Lead and motivate the team to achieve operational objectives.
  • Assist in managing performance and development of team members.
  • Implement strategies to improve operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage procurement activities accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve company objectives.
  • Champion a safety first culture, and reporting of any incidents in accordance with WHS policy.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 3 years of experience within a supervisory or management role.
  • Experience within an agricultural, fresh produce or production environment.
  • Ability to work as part of the larger management team but also autonomously and independently in the role.
  • Knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to strategize and implement improvements to operational processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Passion for working in an outdoor environment, and willingness to pitch in where needed.
  • Forklift and Front End Loader licence is preferred.
