An exciting opportunity for a Payroll Analyst has become available within a multinational manufacturing business based in Brisbane's Eastern Suburbs.Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Payroll Analyst will work closely with the FC and external stakeholders to audit historical payroll data and suggest future improvements around processes and systems.

Job Description

  • Manage and streamline payroll processing and distribution.
  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
  • Utilising Excel based templates to investigate payroll data.
  • Identify & resolve potential payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
  • Determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee income, taxes, and worker's compensation payments.
  • Make clear process change recommendations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Analyst should have:

  • A strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processes.
  • A comprehensive understanding of payroll legislation and the Manufacturing Award.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in payroll software.
  • Strong data manipulation skills, particularly using Excel. VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF's ideal
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work well in a team.
  • Ability to commence on short notice and truly hit the ground running.
