Our client is a highly regarded public hospital in Victoria with over 2500 employees across corporate, clinical, hospital and medical staff. With a long history of delivering exceptional patient care, they're recognised as one of Australia's most trusted health providers.

Job Description

You'll lead a payroll team and take ownership of a high volume, end‑to‑end weekly payroll for corporate and clinical staff.

You will also:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant awards, EBAs and legislation
  • Manage termination payments, audits, reporting and reconciliations
  • Lead, support and develop a stable payroll team
  • Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency
  • Partner with HR, Finance and operational stakeholders to resolve payroll queries and strengthen payroll governance

The Successful Applicant

To be successful you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex payrolls
  • Experience in the Victorian health or hospital sector (highly desirable)
  • Chris21 or iChris experience (strongly preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle payroll queries
  • Proven ability to deliver process improvements
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and leadership capability
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
