We're seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our Accounting & Finance team, assisting with payroll processes to ensure all our employees are paid correctly and on time.

Job Description

  • Accurately process payroll data and ensure timely payments
  • Prepare and maintain accurate payroll records and reports
  • Administer leave applications and maintain leave records
  • Manage superannuation and tax deductions
  • Handle any payroll queries and resolve issues promptly
  • Stay up-to-date with current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws
  • Work closely with the Accounting and Finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll function

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proficiency in construction based software such as JobPac and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills to handle payroll queries
  • A solid understanding of payroll tax and superannuation
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently
