Job Description

  • Process and manage end-to-end payroll for employees in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and agreements.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports as required.
  • Handle payroll queries and provide resolutions in a professional manner.
  • Work closely with the Accounting & Finance team to align payroll processes.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the payroll function.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

  • Proven experience in payroll processing, ideally within the retail industry.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and relevant software.
  • Understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving skills to address payroll-related concerns effectively.
