Job Description

  • Process end-to-end payroll for employees with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Handle employee payroll queries and provide timely resolutions.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance department to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports as required.
  • Assist with year-end payroll processes, including tax declarations and reporting.
  • Stay up to date with changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Support the team with other payroll-related tasks as required.
  • High volume payroll processing is essential

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

  • Experience in end-to-end payroll processing, ideally within the Transport & Distribution industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with employees and stakeholders.
