Job Description

  • Process payroll transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain employee payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Calculate and process superannuation, leave entitlements, and other deductions.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Provide support to employees with payroll-related inquiries.
  • Assist in preparing payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to ensure seamless operations.
  • Ensure compliance with public sector policies and procedures.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

  • Previous experience in payroll processing within the public sector or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and software.
  • An understanding of Australian taxation and superannuation regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
