Job Description

The Payroll Officer will be responsible for:

  • Process end‑to‑end payroll within required timeframes
  • Interpret time and attendance data accurately
  • Respond to payroll queries with a customer‑focused approach
  • Maintain employee records and payroll documentation
  • Identify discrepancies and escalate issues where required
  • Support wider payroll functions during peak periods
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment

The Successful Applicant

The successful Payroll Officer should have:

  • A proven track record within a similar role
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and address queries effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Previous experience within the retail industry or a similar field is highly regarded.
