About Our Client

Job Description

  • Accurate weekly processing of a high-volume payroll function in line with company policies.
  • Handling payroll queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant tax, superannuation and employment legislation.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records of employee working hours and leave balances.
  • Assisting in the preparation of end-of-month financial statements.
  • Coordinating with human resources to ensure correct employee data.
  • Performing other related duties whilst reporting directly to the finance manager

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

  • A strong educational background in Accounting or Finance.
  • Proven experience in a Payroll Officer role or similar.
  • Proficiency in a range of payroll software and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and payroll processes.
  • Exceptional numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and in high-volume environments.
