Job Description

This dual-focus role blends payroll processing with system administration responsibilitie:

  • Act as system administrator for Time & Attendance platforms, ensuring compliance with Enterprise Agreements and legislation.
  • Manage payroll system configurations, updates, and integrations.
  • Liaise with vendors and internal IT to define, test, and implement system changes and enhancements.
  • Provide Tier 1 support and training to users, develop self-service materials, and manage support portals.
  • Maintain system security and conduct regular audits in line with privacy legislation and segregation of duties.
  • Monitor and resolve system issues, maintain a backlog of enhancements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Process payroll adjustments, terminations, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor workflows and timesheet data to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Respond to payroll queries, maintain SOPs, and support the team during busy periods or leave coverage.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience in payroll processing across various employment types.
  • Strong system administration skills in Time & Attendance and HRIS platforms.
  • Deep understanding of payroll legislation and Enterprise Agreements.
  • High attention to detail, strong numeracy, and process excellence.
  • Advanced Excel skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
