We are seeking an experienced Facilities Procurement Category Manager to initially take full ownership for the role out of a new FM Supplier across multiple locations, followed by strategic category management.

  • Opportunity for contract to be extended beyond 12 months

Job Description

  • Ensure the successful role out of a new waste supplier to all locations across the state of QLD
  • Develop and implement category strategies for facilities management to drive cost savings and value creation.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and manage key supplier relationships to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Analyse market trends and supplier performance to inform procurement decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and align procurement strategies accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain for facilities management categories.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance against established KPIs.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Procurement Category Manager - FM should have:

  • Proven expertise in procurement, specifically within facilities management categories.
  • Outstanding on-boarding experience - ensuring a smooth transition from outgoing and incoming vendors.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills to manage suppliers and achieve cost savings.
  • Solid understanding of procurement processes, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with internal stakeholders and suppliers effectively.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • A relevant qualification in procurement, supply chain, or a related field is highly regarded.
  • You must hold appropriate Australian work rights
