About Our Client
Our client is new to the ANZ landscape and looking to replicate global success with a new HQ in Melbourne. With a culture that has innovation, challenge the status-quo and employee progression at the heart, you will need to show strong potential to add to the APAC leadership team.
Reporting to the regional MD, this role is responsible for driving strategic sourcing specifically through leading category management, cost control and procurement process improvement. You will be tasked with developing strategic plans in line with company targets, execute sourcing strategy, own the category management process and play a key project role in new managing new suppliers.
Other duties include:
- Strong stakeholder management skills, using your influence to engage others
- Own the procurement plan for the APAC region
- Drive team performance and compliance
- Identify business opportunities through your supplier network
- Consult, advise and innovate
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a lead procurement position or senior procurement role. You will be open to learning, change and have a drive to improve and innovate while you set up and help execute the growth strategy in the business.
You will have strong general indirect procurement experience and managed categories north of $100m and across spend areas such as IT, HR, Travel, FM & Property, Professional Services, P2P systems and Marketing.
Ideally your industry experience will be from financial services, media, internet, business services or telecommunication where innovation is key to future success.
You will be able to clearly describe the impact you will make in the role.
