Job Description
As a Procurement Manager, your key responsibilities will be:
- Assume a high-profile team leadership team alongside other team managers (Supply Chain Planning; China Operations; China Supply Chain; Warehousing & Distribution) within a Supply Chain division of 40 personnel across 3 sites in Australia and China.
- Direct and support 1 Procurement Category Manager (who manages strategic procurement and supplier relationship management activities across the Mechanical, Finished Goods and Defence procurement categories, and is assisted by a Mechanical Engineer).
- Assume hands-on management of the Electronics category (semiconductors, print circuit boards and associated electronic products) assisted by a Component Engineer.
- Maintain key master data attributes for new purchased finished goods and components (item master, supplier price lists).
The Successful Applicant
As a successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate:
- 10 years / 5 years in procurement roles with evidence of career progression (Manager / Specialist role) with 3 years in management or team leadership roles (Manager role)
- Applied knowledge of 'best practice' procurement and category management tools and techniques
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
