Job Description

Key responsibilities



  • Lead Product Design: Initiate and co-develop concept designs for fastening tools and consumables based on user feedback, refining them through 3D CAD and iterative design processes.


  • Prototype Development: Oversee the creation of physical prototypes using rapid prototyping methods, continuously testing and improving designs based on user feedback.


  • Product Specifications: Collaborate with marketing, manufacturing, and other departments to define project scope, costs, and feasibility, ensuring alignment with design and manufacturing requirements.


  • Design & Validation: Finalize product designs with sourcing teams, establish manufacturing supply chains, and conduct product testing and field validation. Contribute to patent applications and product safety.


  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to drive the industrialization of new products, ensuring successful market launch and product performance.


  • Project Management: Coordinate the product development process, managing timelines and ensuring projects meet all milestones and deadlines.



The Successful Applicant

Ideal candidate

  • Experience: 5+ years in product design and development, preferably in mechanical or mechatronics engineering.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD design (preferably SOLIDWORKS) and exposure to various manufacturing processes (e.g., plastic injection molding, stamping, machining).
  • Problem-Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with mechanical systems.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and lead product development projects.
  • Product Development: Experience in taking products from concept to final production, including prototyping and validation.
  • Education: Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Leadership: Exposure to project management and technical leadership is a plus.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external partners.
